Project: A project is a temporary endeavor, having a defined beginning and end, undertaken to meet particular goals and objectives, usually to bring about beneficial change or added value.

one thousand projects began as a blog in January 2010. It came from the need to be accountable for my time as a new stay-at-home-mum (SAHM) but also from the realisation that I had a craft cupboard full of crafty goodness - kits, components, part projects and even the makings of whole projects.

I didn't know if I actually had one thousand projects (or part thereof) in that cupboard but suffice to say - I had plenty!

As a crafter with a wide range of interests including cross stitch, sewing, quilting and in more recent times knitting and crochet I was finding myself increasingly frustrated by my inability to buy reasonably priced but quality tools and components.

By January 2013 I had started to form the idea of creating a business. Previously I had contemplated the 'selling handmade path' but didn't want to have my leisure activity to become work.

With that in mind and with difficulty finding craft supplies the idea for a retail business in craft supplies, kits and patterns was formed and eventually launched.

The craft shop was launched in the great shopping mall that is eBay since June 2013.

Since the creation of the original blog was very much the recording of a a personal (craft) journey and with the shift over time to a business focus the original blog posts have been hidden.

In November 2016, I became an Independent Phoenix Trader, selling an extensive range of beautiful greeting cards, gift wrap and stationery items.

In February 2017 eBay made changes to their fee structure for stores. The craft store was changed at this time from a Store Subscription to a personal account and continued to sell a select range of quality craft tools and notions.

In August 2017 Phoenix Trading ceased operations. In addition I decided to discontinue the eBay Craft Store.

On the homepage you can also find links to information on the Greensborough Knitting Club.

Let's get crafting!
